Our membership is comprised of a civilian and military camp and boasts a number of families within the ranks. Chances are there will be something for everyone in the family to try, though singles and couples are just as welcome.
If you are interested in joining our ranks, or just trying it for a day, a battle or event, there are a couple of conditions you must meet:
- You must be 14 years or older to take the field as a combatant (i.e rifle carrier) though exceptions can be made for 12 or 13 year old soldiers upon approval of the company commander.
- There is no minimum age requirement for civilian members.
If you are 14 or over and interested in falling in as a soldier you must:
- email the captain and let him know which event you plan on attending
- read the NCWC safety rules
- take the NCWC safety test
- fill out a NCWC membership form (dues are $25 for a person, $50 for family) or a pay to play form (you must pay a one time $25 fee to participate in one event)
- bring your completed test and membership form with you to the event
If you are 14 or younger and interested in falling in as a soldier you must:
- complete each step listed above
- your parent or guardian must print, read and sign the NCWC Minor Release form
- print, read and sign the 69th NY Youth Combatant Rules
- your parent or guardian must print two copies of the 69th NY Minor Release and Medical Directive form
- bring these forms, plus those listed above with you to the event
Those interested in joining our civilian camp must:
- email/contact our Civilian Coordinator
- fill out a NCWC membership form or a pay to play form and minor release (if necessary)
All of these forms are available by direct link on this site, at the NCWC page or at the command fly at the end of the 69th NY company street at the event. It his strongly encouraged all forms and tests be completed before arriving to the event!
Once you email the Captain or Civilian Coordinator, we will tell you what you need to bring to the event and tell you your options for mess (food). We have a supply of loaner gear on hand so you generally will only have to bring yourself.
